You're right, Amber, you'd probably look best in cream if it was right against your face. But your white skirt looked VERY pretty last Sat. with the brown top; the trick to wearing white is to contrast it with another color, i.e. brown, orange, blue, green, or a patterned blouse on top.

A white top could also look very pretty with a necklace that stands out; wood beads or lots of pretty color.

If you can't wear all white (I personally don't know how I would look in it, since I don't own a LWD, and don't have to money to buy one right now) then pick up a white purse (which is more summer appropriate than black or brown, anyhow), a sheer white scarf, a belt, jewelry, shoes, or a bottom or top. White pants are VERY in right now.

I wish I could wear white... or at least wear white without looking DEAD! Some of us just weren't born to be able to get by in that color (or lack of color). I need a LCD - a "little cream dress". Now that I've pretty much figured out what colors I can and can't wear because of my skin, eye, and hair colors, it makes looking for clothing easier and accessorizing is easier, too, because most everything I own matches now. (That's because 60% of my clothing is chocolate brown!)

Thanks Abi! I'm really glad that you find it useful, I'll try to post more.

Yes, I was actually at that. That's an experience I need to write about, but I don't know if I'll find time, so I'll give you the short story.

I was invited to go by Christa Taylor (see above) who was one of the designers at the show when she found out that I lived in the area.... so I was able to go and be her assistant! :P

I enjoyed the Pure Fashion Show, and I'm thrilled that there is a group that is setting up high modesty standards for girls! It was fun seeing all the girls walk out wearing the various outfits collected various designers like Cookie Lee, Funky Frum, Gottschalks, Talbots, and Christa. Christa's designs are very unique and special, too!

Modesty, though, really does have to flow from a heart change, you can be wearing all the right clothes but if you have a rotten attitude it's going to show through, no matter what you are wearing. Clothes are important, but they don't make the girl.

I would encourage you to buy it Ellen! I think supporting independent designers like Christa as much as you possibly can, instead of big companies like Target is important! If I had the money at the moment, I'd buy a LWD, too. :)
