A Tip or Two

April 28, 2008

Just a couple of fashion tips for ya’ll:

Volume Control Volume is big for this season and can look fabulous on top or bottom if you keep this in mind; either wear volume on top with a slim fitting bottom, or wear it on the bottom with a slim fitting top. Skip the volume on volume look, even models are sporting in various fashion magazines; you don’t want to look like a balloon!

How not to wear volume:

How to wear volume:

Accessory Overload Earrings, rings, bracelet, and a necklace? I love wearing jewelry that compliments my outfit, but when I’m wearing so many pieces that they are beginning to compete with my outfit I need to pare it down a little. Let’s take off the rings, bracelet and necklace and leave just those lovely earrings to flatter my chic dress. Even if you do have pierced ears it’s all right to leave those earrings off if you can’t resist wearing that darling necklace! Too many pieces of jewelry can easily overwhelm an outfit.

Uh oh, I REALLY like that outfit in the top right “what not to wear” place! Maybe I don’t have as good of taste as I thought. ;)
I also overload on the jewlery … :} But I NEVER wear my wide-leg pants with any kind of volumous top, that just looks awful.
    good post!

It is cute as two separate pieces, but together it just ends up being too much volume in my opinion.

    “Accessory Overload”

I agree! Less (simple) is more!

That’s the thing, I love the pieces together!! I’m one of those people that wears really long shirts with skirts, though. (a big youlookfab no-no!)

Where did you go?? I need fashion advice…quick! ;-)

  7. Anna Says:

Sorry, Darling! I haven’t posted very much lately because I haven’t been feeling very “frivolous.” :(

What do you need, though? I’d love to hear!

  8. Ellen Says:

Okay, I was actually wondering if wearing a black tank (old navy style) was okay to be worn under a white shirt. I like the look…but have gotten some flack. What say you?

  9. Anna Says:

    Hello!

A black and white combination sounds classic! Wear it with a dark denim bottom, either jeans or a skirt, heels and a statement jewelry piece!

Were you getting flack because the black was showing through the white shirt? That sounds okay to me…

  10. Ellen Says:

    Yep…that’s it.
